Facilities
Liberia, is a sophisticated two-story, Federal-style, brick farm house reminiscent of a classic tidewater plantation home. It is one of the few remaining houses of its type in Manassas. Known as the “Brick House” it was built of bricks fired on site from Virginia red clay. The best looking bricks were laid in a decorative Flemish bond pattern on the front side of the house and in American bond brick pattern on the back and sides. Liberia’s many interesting architectural features include distinctive solid interior brick partitions, quarter round windows in the gable ends, Flemish bond brickwork, brick window arches, arched doorways with semicircular fanlights, and saw tooth cornices.
